Liz Earle Cleanse And Polish

Blooming Fiction, lifestyle blog, Liz Earle Cleanse And Polish

Finding a skincare routine which you actually stick to .. or like using ... can be a little tricky. With so many 3 step processes to 'clean' skin, it makes me wonder whether there are any differences in the products apart from the brand names. Liz Earle has been my first 3 step routine for facial cleansing that I've ever tried and despite my difficulty in sticking to the twice daily 3 step routine ( because life gets in the way too often ) I've found that I actually like the whole pampering thing.

The 3 step cleansing process with Liz Earle is to use their incredibly popular Cleanse & Polish product, more about that in a minute, followed by a toner and then a moisturizer. A very similar routine to many others already on the market. But what makes it different? For me, the fact that Liz Earle are cruelty free makes these products leap out from the crowd.

If you haven't heard of Liz Earle before, they are a natural brand that uses only what mother nature intended. There are no additives or nasty chemicals involved. Just herbal influences and naturally active ingredients. The products are produced on the Isle of Wight, a small island off the southern coast of England, and come in pretty mint coloured packaging. Which I love!

So, the Cleanse & Polish product is of quite a thick consistency  which is pumped on to dry skin. Being nothing but natural ingredients means that there is no irritation when massaging the product over your face, including your eyes. Amazing, I know! The eucalyptus in the product can really be smelt on application, which I enjoy taking a whiff off as I massage product onto my nose. After applying, you use a muslin cloth in warm water to polish the skin in circular motions. This not only removes the product, but your makeup and grime too. I'm thrilled to say that the product also works on waterproof mascara, this has been tried and tested by yours truly.

If you've never used a product from Liz Earle, maybe try out one of their small giftsets to get a feel for their products. This is how I started and I'm still buying full size products now. Needless to say, this routine may not be for everyone, but for me it has got me back in to the swing of looking after my face properly and it gives me a tiny bit of me time twice a day.
