Ultimate Blends Nourishing Lotion & The Great Thing About Olives

I love getting surprise goodies from my Mr, so when he rocked up with the Garnier Ultimate Blends Nourishing Lotion ... I got very excited. Despite the fact I tried and didn't really get on with the Ultimate Blends Shampoo range, available in Superdrug, I was eager to try out the lotion. Call me weird, but I love body lotions and moisturisers, especially ones I haven't tried before.

The product in question is in the flavor of Mythic Olive and actually contains some extra virgin olive oil, which is super for your health and well being. More about that in a minute.

The Garnier Ultimate Blends Nourishing Lotion is super easy to apply with a pump on the bottle and the texture of the cream is rich, thick and dare I say a bit luxurious. I've tried many other branded lotions in my time and this one has really left a good impression on me. It absorbs quickly with minimal greasy feelings after and is so thick it is ideal for people with thirsty skin, like me.

Aside from the lovely soft feeling on your skin after using the Garnier Ultimate Blends Nourishing Lotion, what I also love about the product is how much it reminds me of my time in Crete back in 2016. Spending a lovely two weeks in Analipsi ( pending travel post probably in writing now ) I learnt a great deal about the Cretan way of life including the function of olives in their everyday life. A useless fact you may not know is that Olive trees aren't actually indigenous to Crete..... but pine trees are!

There are a huge amount of health benefits from using olive oil on a regular basis, but for skin it has little boosters which can really help you look after your body's largest organ. Olive oil is a great tool to use as an antioxidant for your skin and can even better your current shaving cream. Many residents on the island of Crete use olive oil instead, because it gives a much closer shave as well as being really hydrating and beneficial for the skin.

Why is olive oil beneficial? In layman's terms ... there are certain oils, like olive oil, which have properties which allow them to work in harmony with your body. This is why olive oil absorbs quickly and helps to strengthen your skin's barrier. Olive oil doesn't block pores, making it an ideal ingredient for moisturising products and the perfect product to mix with exfoliants.

The Garnier Ultimate Blends Nourishing Lotion is definitely a product I'm going to buy more of even though I do prefer eating olive oil, rather than wearing it. :)
