It doesn't really need saying that technology has completely taken over our lives. No matter where you go or what you do there is some form of technology dominating your life. Including how you entertain yourself.

Although we love watching films, playing computer games and hitting social media ... it's becoming increasingly sad that we are losing the ability to think for ourselves and interact with other people. Putting it plainly .. we don't talk anymore.

Even by reading this blog post you are ignoring everyone around you! Getting back in touch with the world is surprisingly easy, you just have to want to do it. I've listed some super easy ways to entertain yourself without a screen in sight. Intrigued? Keep reading.

Read A Book
Although this is still a quiet activity you can still involve others by reading aloud. Whether you read it as a bed time story to your little one or you read it to your partner who's sat next to you, this simple but delightful activity is very relaxing and encourages you to use your mind. Imagination is a beautiful thing so use it!

Grab A Deck Of Cards
Get some friends together and play cards till you're blue in the face. There are loads of games you can play as a group, or team up in pairs. You can turn it in to a poker night or just play rummy with your family. Either way, it is an involving game which gets you communicating with others.

Play Childhood Games With Adults
When was the last time you had a run around in the park? Or cascaded down a slide into a ball pool? Childhood games like rounders, tug of war and even kiss chase can still be loads of fun for adults. Relive your youth by spending some stored energy and having a laugh without any cost.

Lego
No other word needed. It's an unwritten truth that adults enjoy Lego more than kids.

Get Crafty
Try an art class, get out the paints at home or dig out one of your kid's colouring books. Get together and let your mind run wild, getting messy with your hands is strangely therapeutic as well as a great way to express yourself.

Group Games
Get some nibbles and drinks in and grab a spot in the front room. Group or team games are fab for bonding or getting competitive so get some paper and pens for a Pictionary night or even go a step further with good old charades!
