Fatal Masquerade Book Tour

Blooming Fiction, lifestyle blog, Fatal Masquerade Book Tour

Lady Alkmene Callender has always loved grand parties, but when she receives an invitation to a masked ball thrown by Franklin Hargrove – oil magnate, aviation enthusiast and father of her best friend, Denise – she’s never seen such luxury. The estate is lit up with Chinese lanterns in the gardens, boats operated by footmen float across the pond and the guest list features the distinguished, rich and powerful!
But below the glamour, evil is lurking. When a dead body is discovered, it forces Lady Alkmene to throw off her mask and attempt to find the true killer before Denise’s family are accused. If only her partner, Jake Dubois, weren’t hiding something from her…
This case might just be more dangerous than either of them could have imagined.

She's done it again! Vivian Conroy is flying books out as quickly as a newspaper press. Her latest release, Fatal Masquerade, is book number 4 from her popular Lady Alkmene series. If you haven't read any of this series yet you might like to catch up on my book review of book one in the series, A Proposal To Die For .

Fatal Masquerade begins it's roller coaster as Lady Alkmene is invited to a masked party. Something of which I have always wanted to go to. Only on this occasion the festivities take a turn for the worst and Lady Alkmene once again finds herself embroiled on the scene of a murder. Hooking up with the ever faithful Jake, the plot thickens before it reduces down to the killer and their motive for murder.

As always with a Vivian Conroy plot there is no shortage in possible suspects through the ingenious story. Despite all the glamour and intriguing events unfolding there are plenty of motives and clues laying around. The only problem is that she outwits the readers pretty much every time. I have yet to suspect the correct character, and I've read a fair few of her books.

Something worth pointing out is that although this is book 4 out of the Lady Alkmene collection there is no need to have read one of the books before. Working just as well as a standalone book this is a great read for all lovers of cosy crime, or those testing the crime genre waters.

This is a fab release you definitely need on your Kindle.
