T2 The Faves Box

Blooming Fiction, lifestyle blog, T2 The Faves Box

Tea is one of the ultimate luxuries in my life. I don't smoke, buy designer fashion or drink ( much ) so there's little left to class as a luxury for me. I am quite literally a stereotypical Briton who loves her tea, puzzle book and log fire kind of setting. I've always loved tea but it's only been during the last year or so that I've discovered how much I like loose leaf tea. There's something so lovely about pouring tea through a strainer that makes tea feel so much more than just a hot beverage. Just me?

I was absolutely delighted ( and angry for my brother to spend so much on me ) to receive this fab box of mixed loose leaf teas for my birthday. There are 12 different loose leaf teas labelled as the Faves  which includes a range of fruit, green and black tea.

Here's what's inside:

Black Tea - Chai / French Earl Grey / Melbourne Breakfast / New York Breakfast

Green Tea - Gorgeous Geisha / Green Rose / Jade Mountain

Herbal Tisane - Lemongrass & Ginger / Tummy Tea

Fruit Tisane - Pumping Pomegranate / Southern Sunrise / Strawberries & Cream

Each of the 12 boxes contains enough product for around 5 portions of tea, maybe more if you don't like too much product in your tea. I haven't used all of them yet but I'm absolutely loving the Melbourne Breakfast and Tummy Tea.

Some of the teas aren't everyones' immediate pick for tea but it's a fab idea to collab all these different varieties together as it makes you try something new. AND who knows ... maybe you'll find a new favourite! Next on my list to try is the Southern Sunrise as it sounds heavenly.

If you haven't used loose leaf tea before it's quite easy to prepare. There are many different methods to use the tea. My method is to scoop one teaspoon of product for each cup of tea into a teapot, add the water, let it brew for 5 minutes and then pour through a tea strainer. You can use a scoop or a teapot with an inbuilt diffuser but I find this method works best for me.

If you're not sure if you're going to like this kind of specialist tea, you can try some of the teas in T2 shops. That's what I did in Bluewater shopping centre. Be careful though ... you may get hooked.
