Book Review | The Bed And Breakfast On The Beach

Blooming Fiction Book Review | The Bed And Breakfast On The Beach

Winnie, Stella and Frankie have been best friends forever.
When their lives unexpectedly unravel, they spontaneously decide to buy a gorgeous B&B on a remote Greek island. Drenched in hot sun, Villa Valentina is the perfect escape from reality. But when Winnie meets Jesse, their brooding neighbour, she finds that Greece is full of its own complications – not least how attractive he is…
Meanwhile, Frankie and Stella are discovering that Villa Valentina has its own secrets – starting with the large supply of gin in the cellar and the arrival of a famous rock band. A band with one very good-looking member who just might distract Frankie from thoughts of her husband…

Review

In a book like sounds like it comes from the same page as Shirley Valentine, The Bed And Breakfast On The Beach is a sunny read with glorious views from every angle.

On the positive side, The Bed And Breakfast On The Beach does hold some interesting secrets about Villa Valentina and the gin supply sounds very inviting. The characters are relatable and all have stories which would perhaps persuade some people to skip the country.

The inclusion of a famous rock band dulled the book down slightly for me which is why I offer this book four stars instead of five. I loved the book until this point, afterwards I just liked it. Some readers may like the visitors but a famous rock band at a small bed and breakfast just doesn't ring true to me.

The Bed And Breakfast On The Beach is the perfect read for anyone who loves books by Holly Martin, as well as other books by Kat French obviously.
