Review

What a lovely concept!

That was my first thought about The Start Of Something Wonderful. There are too many books which look at young adults making their way in the world, but not so many look at those of us who are a bit older and perhaps reaching that point where we think it's too late.

Chasing a dream you've always had is a gift not many people go for after a certain age, so reading about Emily taking that plunge is completely refreshing and invigorating.

Joining up to some acting classes, Emily makes a new group of friends who also want to 'make it' in their own way. Losing those only interested in the big screen, the real people soon emerge and many hours of gossip, laughter and trying acting scenarios unfold.

The Start Of Something Wonderful is truly that, and it's like that the whole way through the book. The departure of the hotshot pilot boyfriend is soon forgotten, by me anyway, as you are whisked away into this exciting and fulfilling plot which not only makes great reading but also provides encouragement to the rest of us to chase our dreams no matter our age.

A full five stars from me!
