After reading Holly Martin's Christmas Under A Cranberry Sky, I was really excited to read another story from this talented author. Aside from the gorgeously blue front cover, the blurb of the plot was enough to convince me that Holly Martin had a nack for every season and not just Christmas. Less than 48 hours later my suspicion was confirmed and I closed down my Kindle with a smile on my face.

The story of Spring At Blueberry Bay is an enchanting and romantic tale of Bella who is afraid to let love into her heart. After a seemingly traumatic childhood of being neglected by her parents, Bella has learnt that love is dangerous and only brings heartache. But when she meets Isaac she becomes afraid of the strange feelings she is rapidly developing.

The subject of past pains casting long shadows is a plot I always love to read as you see how the character learns to deal with the elements and then ultimately where they come out at the end. Bella's story is moving and really confronts some shadows I'm sure many readers will empathise with. Following some heart warming and heart aching scenes, Bella begins adapting to the new life developing around her and we are lucky enough to follow her story as she discovers the truth about love.

Spring At Blueberry Bay conveys an important message about family, love and ultimately a lesson of judgement. Impressions and assumptions are often wrong and it is this exactly that Bella discovers, which later leads to exciting turns of events.

If you love a book that has an addictive plot filled with some raunchy sex scenes mixed in you will love this book! Holly Martin has outdone herself and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next!

If you like the writing style of Holly Martin, you'll also like Sunshine & Secrets by Daisy James.
